Cover helps prevent vandals from destroying smoke detectors

Safety Technology International, Inc. of Waterford, Michigan and Birmingham England, announces its Smoke Detector Damage Stopper® is now UL Listed for use with Notifier FSP-751, System Sensor 2251, FCI ASD-PL, Secutron MRI-2251, EST 2251F, Honeywell TC806B1001 smoke detectors. The polycarbonate cover was previously UL tested and approved for listing with Sentrol/GE Interlogix 611UD, 612UD, 721UD, 731UD with no sensitivity adjustment.

This protective device is the simple, low-cost solution for areas where severe vandalism and physical abuse of smoke detectors is causing false fire alarms or high maintenance costs. Its durable design permits this member of the STI Stopper® Line to take tough knocks in stride. This expertly designed cover has multiple slots allowing smoke to safely reach the detector it is protecting.

It features easy installation and may be removed quickly for servicing of the detector. Two models are available to fit virtually all smoke detectors - the flush-mounted STI-8100 and the surface-mounted STI-8130 with spacer to accommodate conduit piping. Stand and covers are clear, yet also available in almond, black and white.

As a testament of our company quality and standing behind our product line, both smoke detector covers carry a lifetime guarantee against breakage in normal use.
