IT Support Specialist

Job Description

We are looking for an IT Support Specialist.

Responsibilities include helping troubleshoot networking issues and solving connectivity issues.

Basic knowledge of IP networking and computers (mostly Windows 7 and 10) are required.

Responsibilities

  • Proactively manage, communicate and solve customer issues/requests consistently with minimal supervision
  • Assist with configuration and proprietary networking equipment
  • Assist in product testing and evaluation of new networking equipment
  • Provide basic sales and product support
  • Provide basic support of networking issues and routers (port forwarding)
  • Log and document all customer interactions and incidents

Qualifications

  • 1-3 years work-related experience with
  • Basic knowledge of TCP/IP networking and routers
  • Strong customer service and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to understand customer needs and requirements, translate technical product knowledge to both technical and non-technical customers

Customer Service Representative

  • The Customer Service Representatives (CSR) primary responsibility is to enter orders into the ERP system. Orders come to STI by email, phone or fax. This position requires extensive data entry and attention to detail during order processing.
  • The CSR must gain enough product knowledge to review orders for errors (price discrepancies, missing components, etc.), and if required, recommend an alternative product if the requested is discontinued, out of stock, has a long lead time, etc.
  • The CSR will also follow up on existing order status for customers that request such information and respond back as required.
  • This position will require a quick learning process of our extensive line of product safety equipment.
  • Knowledge of MS Outlook and MS Word/Excel is required.
  • Knowledge of Google mail.
  • Prior Customer Service experience is a plus.
  • H.S. education required.
  • Previous experience with international customers desired.
  • Pleasant telephone manners required.
  • Fluent in French helpful, but not required
